The School of Civil and Architectural Engineering was formerly the Department of Civil Engineering of Guangxi University and one of the largest engineering departments of Guangxi University. When the University of Guangxi was added to the School of Engineering in September 1932, the Department of Civil Engineering was established as the first department of engineering.
