The architecture major has been selected as a first-class major in the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" of the Ministry of Education, and has been awarded the first batch of autonomous region level first-class professional construction points. Its discipline has a master's degree program in architecture at the first level. The major relies on high-level disciplinary platforms such as the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Civil and Architectural Engineering, the Key Laboratory of Engineering Disaster Prevention and Structural Safety of the Ministry of Education, and the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Disaster Prevention, Reduction, and Engineering Safety. The focus is on cultivating students' mastery of humanities and natural science foundations, foreign language foundations, and general architectural knowledge and skills. After graduation, students can become high-level talents in the field of design and research. The professional training meets the requirements of undergraduate education in architecture as stipulated by the Ministry of Education of China, and meets the knowledge and skills required for the national certification of registered architects.

In the first and second years of this major, students will study general education and basic architecture courses. The basic architecture courses offered mainly include: Fundamentals of Architectural Design, Architectural Design, Principles of Urban Planning, Site Design, Architectural Modeling, Descriptive Geometry and Shadow Perspective, Engineering Surveying and Cartography, Fine Arts, Architectural Mechanics, and Digital Architecture Technology. In the third and fourth years, students will study architecture courses, including architectural design, Chinese architectural history, foreign architectural history, architectural physics, building equipment, building materials, building structures, building construction, digital building simulation analysis, residential planning and design, urban design, interior design, green building design and technology. The fifth year is the comprehensive learning stage, with main practical courses including graduation internship, production internship (design institute internship), and graduation project (thesis).

Graduates can engage in architectural design, planning and design, real estate development, engineering management, as well as teaching and research work in higher education institutions and research institutes.

Special reminder: New students admitted to this major need to undergo a sketch-drawing and watercolor painting test after enrollment. If they fail, they will be transferred to other majors.
